About Sarah

Head Shot2

Hi! My name is Sarah and I’m so excited you stopped by my little spot in the blog-world today!

Here’s a little bit about me:

I lived the first 25 years of my life in Iowa. I will be a Midwest girl at heart no matter where this life of mine takes me!

My husband and I currently live in the desert of Arizona, which was quite the shock to my system, but we are both slowly adjusting to this change after living here for almost four years.

I’ve been married to my best friend for three and a half years! You can read about how awesome he is here. And you can see his sweetness in this post too.

We struggled with infertility for over a year before we decided to adopt internationally. Now we are in the waiting process (we’ve been learning the art of patience since April of 2013) of bringing home our two daughters from Africa and so excited to become a family with them. God also chose to make our life a little more interesting not too long ago and we are now blessed with our precious Naomi Elizabeth born in April of 2014!

I have been a stay-at-home wife since September of 2012 when I left my job as a personal trainer. I love being able to serve my husband and my church. I’ve also become slightly obsessed with Crossfit! My husband and I are apart of an amazing Crossfit community here in Tucson.

Now I am also a stay-at-home mom which has been a tiring transition! (Can I get an Amen from all the new moms?!) I love being a mom to our sweet Naomi. She brings so much joy to my life and I can’t believe that God saw fit to allow me to enjoy this gift of motherhood. There are days when it’s hard and when I celebrate just the fact that I showered, but I wouldn’t have it any other way.

When I have the time I enjoy reading, drinking coffee, writing, working out, hiking, biking, and having meaningful conversations with the people I love.

My passions lie in encouraging women to find their identity in Jesus, orphan care & adoption, social justice, and sharing the love of Jesus through simple acts of obedience, whether it be through my words or through my actions.

Thanks again for stopping by and don’t forget to subscribe to my blog (right hand sidebar) so you can get my posts sent directly to your inbox! Don’t worry, I’ll try not to overload your inbox (except during the month of October when I try to write for 31 days!).
