Hey There! (Meet and Greet for #InfluenceConf)

In 9 days, Naomi and I will be hopping on a plane for the second time in her little life! I can’t believe that the Influence Conference is just around the corner. It feels like just yesterday I was boarding a plane at 11 weeks pregnant with all the nervous emotions to head to a conference where I knew no one in “real life”…and yet it feels like it was ages ago.

This time I’ll be boarding a plane with a 5 month old and meeting some old friends and making some new ones! I’m not as nervous this time around, probably because I haven’t had the chance to give it as much thought AND because I have a better idea of what to expect. I blogged about my experience at the conference last year and how it encouraged me and challenged me to keep my heart tender to the things of Jesus.

This week, the Influence Network is doing an online meet and greet for people to get to know one another a little bit before we all gather together as 300 women strong to learn more about Jesus and how to make our online (and offline) mean something. If you’re not familiar with the Influence Network, head over HERE to find out more.

So, for those of you who are meeting me for the first time on this little space that I like to share my thoughts on, here’s a little bit about me:

1. I’m Sarah, and this is my daughter Naomi who will be coming with me next weekend. She is my 5 month old miracle baby. I’m married to my best friend, Jason and we live in the Arizona desert, but hail from the Midwest. So I’m looking forward to getting a little taste of Fall while I’m in Indianapolis!

2. What am I excited about? What am I NOT excited about! I was talking with a friend this weekend about the conference and told her that I am really looking forward to getting away from the normal routine of life to be encouraged and inspired in my desire to make my online and offline life mean something. Since having Naomi, I’ve been having to relearn how to live out the passions and desires God has placed on my heart, which has been stretching, exhausting and so good all at the same time. I know that there will be lots of other mommas with their new babies there, so I’m hoping to glean some wisdom from other bloggers and lovers of Jesus. Oh and I’m rooming with 2 other baby-mommas, Amanda (we had our babies on the same day, only 6 minutes apart!) and Courtney. We’ve declared the Influence Conference to be #nosleepinIndy 🙂 Three mommas + 3 babies + one hotel room = lots of stories, tears, and laughter!

3. What can I not leave home without? Hmmm…my baby carrier, my iPhone and a heart ready to be refreshed.
