An “Ordinary” Mom making a Difference for the “Least of These” (Lauren Mills)

Hello all! My name is Lauren Mills, writer/blogger at MERCY iNK (the blog) and designer/owner of the MERCYiNK Scripture print shop.

MERCY iNK Lauren Mills

The heart of MERCY iNK is to inspire ordinary women to live brave, follow Jesus, and change the world. As you can tell from that little tagline, Sarah and I have similar hearts and visions to use our regular little lives from God’s kingdom.

I have always been passionate for the least of these and the most forgotten in our world, and I love to show other regular people that their lives can truly make a difference and matter for good. (On a side note: I totally know what it’s like to live what feels like a quite ordinary life; I’m a super regular mom of three young children at home, ages 2.5, 5, and 6, so life is busy and full of very ordinary, nose-wiping, diaper-changing kind of moments!)

When I think about the least of these, I cannot help but think of the millions of orphaned and abandoned children in our world, so advocating specifically for orphan care in all forms is truly a passion of my heart.

Last January my husband and I made the decision (after years of talking about it) to step forward in faith and add to our family through adoption. God led us to Africa and we are currently in the waiting, waiting, and more waiting stage. If you’d like to read more about our journey, you can find our story in these posts.

During our wait, we’re also doing lots of fundraising, as y’all know comes with adoption territory 😉

Our print shop is one of the main ways we continue to work to raise funds throughout the process, and today Sarah has so graciously allowed me to share our shop with you! Here are a few favorite prints available in the shop (though do head there for many more!):

Every Good Perfect Gift print

Psalm 139 nursery print

Our customers love putting their prints in nurseries, kids rooms, or anywhere in the house. They also make beautiful gifts when framed and given to a friend.

We’re also very excited to have launched a new line of wearable scripture art in the form of pendant necklaces (which make pretty fabulous Christmas gifts ;))
