The Truth is Abundance

I’ve written on this little old blog for almost 22 days straight (except for the two days I missed last week). And something I’ve realized while doing this is that I chose a topic that was too narrow! I’m almost fresh out of ideas for topics on living unplugged. It’s been a great challenge to stretch myself this month. I’ve found a new sense of creativity while focusing on my writing rather than my tv shows, but there’s only so much I can share about not watching television without boring you and myself!

I have a week left of some posts that loosely relate to my topic and I’m hoping to finish strong! Right now though…I’m just hoping to get through.

Even as I write this I am reminded of what Shauna Niequist said during her session at the Influence Conference and I am convicted that I am believing a lie.

“In any creative endeavor there is a growing myth that we need less art in this world because there is enough, but the TRUTH is that art is needed in ABUNDANCE! The world needs more art and more beauty!” (my own paraphrase of what Shauna said)

The truth is that I need to keep showing up and keep writing. In whatever creative endeavor you want to pursue, keep showing up! The world needs to see your art.

This post is also part of a 31 day series of Living Unplugged with The Nester. You can find the list of my other posts here.
